Experience Documentation:
I never understood what research was until I was in grad school... I always thought it takes place in a lab with a microscope (which, sometimes it does), but I was put off by this because I was not a strong science student. Little did I know, research can happen in a multitude of ways!

During EAF 410, I learned that research is a way to determine what's happened in the past to predict or adjust our outcomes for the future. This can happen through quantitative or qualitative research. A group research proposal was created to examine the relationship between a college student living on campus and their academic success.

2020 has been a trying year for many reasons and our students need more administrators asking them "what can we do for you" rather than "tell us how great we are doing". As part of our final project for EAF 463, I created a survey for student employees to answer questions about how COVID-19 has impacted their spring semester. I collected the data and along with my colleagues, we wrote a final report . We had promised our participants that the results would not be published outside of our class. I have attached the survey that was sent to students, which resulted in 10 responses in a 48 hour period.
