Experience Documentation:
Feedback and recognition are important to me and are important in my supervising role. I appreciate when my supervisor takes time to specifically highlight things I am doing well and to have the opportunity to meet to discuss when things are not going well. To show recognition for a fantastic student, I nominated her for a STAR Moment of the Month.

As a group project for EAF 462, we traveled to Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI to meet with their Dean of Students and Associate Vice President of Student Affairs to learn more about Alverno as an all-women's, religiously affiliated, Hispanic-serving institution.

In my full-time role as an Administrative Assistant, I oversee our front reception desk. Currently, I supervise one full-time staff and two student employees. I updated our student employee interview guide and created a scoring rubric to evaluate each student employee candidate.
During down times in our office, it had become clear that students were restless and were searching for more to do. I created a "down time" checklist of productive items our students could do to stay busy while learning more about our department, division, and university, as well as providing some practical skill development opportunities for them.
